Duck Care & Feed Tips

• Brooder Temperature: Start at 90°F, reducing by 5°F each week until fully feathered.
• Feed: Begin with a waterfowl or multi-purpose starter feed, then switch to a grower feed around 3–4 weeks.
• Niacin: Add niacin (brewer’s yeast) to support leg health, especially for fast-growing breeds.
• Water: Provide clean water deep enough for rinsing nostrils but shallow enough to prevent drowning.
• Bedding: Use absorbent, non-slip bedding to keep ducklings dry and prevent leg problems.
